Welcome to our wonderful Grade 3N class website. I will take some time to introduce myself.
My name is Damienne Angel and I am originally from the small town of Carbonear in Newfoundland and Labrador. I arrived in Fort McMurray in 2008 where I taught grade 4 at Beaconhill Public School. Upon the arrival of our second son, I took a brief break from teaching and remained home with our children. I am delighted to be back in the classroom and I am extremely excited to have the priviledge to teach this 2013 group of Grade 3 students.
By developing this website, I hope to open the lines of communication with parents/guardians. Pictures of the students will be posted as well as information pertaining to what we are learning and what we will be learning throughout the year. I will include some amazing links to sites that will enable your child to work on math skills, reading and writing development and other curriculum based activities, from home. Our weekly newsletter will be posted monthly and important information will be posted when needed.
I love to learn and I love to teach, and in doing so, I learn so much! My goal is to instill a love of learning in my students and to ensure they have a safe and meaningful classroom environment where they are comfortable being themselves and asking questions without hesitation.
We abide by the 4 Tribes Agreements:
1. Mutual Respect
2. Attentive Listening
3. No Put Downs
4. Right to Pass.
These agreements are essential both in school and in the world in general.
If you have any questions, please contact me via email at any time.
Sincerely,
Damienne Angel
